There is not one way, so there is not one manual.

 

01 Don't lose heart!

Complexity might be intimidating, but life is a lot more complex.

An attitude for gross detail might pay off. You must not understand everything,

but keeping the high spirits of curiosity might help winning the game.

 

02 This is not finished till it´s finished

You decide when to begin and when to finish the gameplay.

The game may still go on, when you drop out

or loose interest or found a family or decide to live on a

remote island. No one forces you to stay engaged.

 

03 This is not finished till it´s finished

The game is constructed, reconstructed and deconstructed

online & offline dynamically during the duration of the gameplay

without further notice. That means there might be loads of one-way

streets, blind alleys, insignificant paths and reoccurring loopholes.

Parts of the game´s vast areas or locations may act simply as stand-ins,

interstices, traps or blank space etched with unfinished trails which

may get paved and lighten up at a future stage - at the right time.

Parts of the game`s proliferating form are full of possible hints,

new ways, totally designed situations or installations, revised

connections or traces which may, but must not, relate to your

changing reality.

 

04 This is not finished till it´s finished

Time is not money. Disconnect time from money. Maybe you solve

some secrets in a day, maybe in weeks, maybe never. Not knowing

is no drawback in this game. If you pay close attention to what you

experience, you know enough. This game is an attempt for

permanent play, it is formed to last (at least in big parts) without the option

of internet access. It may take you ten minutes to play chocolatefortheparents,

it may take you years. It does not matter. Neither the game itself is of

uttermost importance, nor is it´s duration.

Physical reality, the event of a bodily experience is most important.

 

07 fiction is a drag queen

Virtuality, real simulacra and resilient imagination are most important.
